Exhaust Gas Analysis
Regulation 14 of Annex VI requires ships to use fuel oil with a sulphur content not exceeding that stipulated in regulations 14.1 or 14.4. Use of the SO2(ppm)/CO2(%) ratio method for system monitoring during certification survey, initial survey, commissoning survey,and in-service surveys.
Regulation 13 of Annex VI requires that the operation of a marine diesel engine installed on a ship is prohibited , except when emission of nitrogen oxides(NOx) from the engine is within the following limits. GMScare provide nitrogen oxides analysis according to the NOx Technical Code 2008, during commissoning survey,and in-service surveys, to ensure engine comply with the emission limits.
